The Intel Celeron CPU and 4GB of RAM ensure that it’s powerful enough to handle a wide variety of workloads, while the 64GB of eMMC storage offers plenty of space to store classwork and projects.
The TravelMate Spin B3 also has integrated Gigabit Wi-Fi to ensure that staying connected isn’t an issue.
Battery life is another major concern and the TravelMate Spin B3 makes the grade easily, lasting up to 12 hours on a single charge - enough to last through the school day with plenty of time left over for homework in the evening.
There’s even a convenient LED battery indicator built into the lid, so teachers and parents can see with a glance whether the laptop needs to be charged.
In addition, the TravelMate Spin B3 runs Windows 10 Pro for Education. This version of Windows is designed specifically for education environments, merging some of the benefits of Windows 10 Pro like streamlined device management and deployment, with enhanced privacy and security to keep children safe when using it.
Rugged Durability
Accidents happen, especially in classrooms, which is why the TravelMate Spin B3 has been built to survive drops, knocks, spills and other day-to-day mishaps.
Thanks to the ultra-rugged design with integrated bumpers and special drainage points underneath the keyboard, the TravelMate Spin B3 is tested to survive drops of up to 122cm, spills of up to 330ml amongst other things.
The TravelMate Spin B3 also features an updated keyboard design that is engineered to address one of the biggest issues with laptops used in an education setting – children pulling off the keys.
The keys on the TravelMate Spin B3’s keyboard are mechanically-anchored, making them much more difficult to remove while keeping the entire keyboard assembly easy to replace – this ensures that the laptops are able to stay in use for longer and can be repaired quicker, minimising downtime.
All these features combined mean the TravelMate Spin B3 fully complies with MIL-STD 810G standards, which certifies that that it meets the requirements of the US Military in terms of durability.
